Mediterranean Diet
Ingredients
- 50 ml freshly made Espresso (we prefer Lavazza brand)
- 30 ml Irish Cream Liquor (can be adjusted for desired sweetness)
- 6 Ice cubes
How to make Iced Coffee
- Put ice cubes in the cocktail shaker, followed by the espresso and the Irish Cream liquor.
- Shake well for 12 seconds and serve immediately in a martini glass or another stemmed glass.

Background
This is the new way to enjoy coffee in Italy - the Shakerato. Stefano and I love this iced espresso especially during the Summer on a hot day. It's also a great idea for holiday parties, our friends love it when we make a Shakerato!
It's quick & simple to make. All you need is a moka pot to make the espresso, and a cocktail shaker. The secret of this drink is the Irish Cream and you can also experiment with your favorite liquor.
