What is happening in Italy? +

Italy's economy and confidence has been greatly affected by COVID-19. Most of you are aware of the high rate of death Italy experienced as a country from February to April 2020, specially in the North of Italy. What you may not be aware of is how negatively impacted has been its economy of Italy as a result of the extended quarantines and the closing of the borders to tourism. Most family small businesses are declaring bankruptcy.

How was Papa Vince affected by COVID-19? +

Sicily, the land we live, was barely affected by COVID-19. It only had 282 deaths.
As farmers, we were allowed to keep working in our land during COVID-19. In fact, COVID-19 afforded us extra time to dedicate to our crops, specifically our olive trees, and... believe it or not, Papa Vince may boast one of its best harvest ever this year, both in quality and volume thanks to COVID-19!!
None of our family members or friends got sick with COVID-19. The quarantine did limit our life and yet it gave us the unique opportunity to spend quality time with our spouses and children. It was a wonderful time that brought us closer together as a family.

Thanks to our customers who faithfully took time to write reviews and share the goodness of Papa Vince with friends & family, we experienced a most needed increase of sales in the USA, the push we desperately needed to make it to the other side of the mountain. For this we are extremely grateful!!
This was not the case for most local producers in Sicily, Italy. Papa Vince is committed to help these small farmers and artisans of high quality food overcome this crisis.

What is Papa Vince doing to protect its workers? +

- Masks are worn inside our facilities at all times
- Hand sanitizers are strategically located in our facilities to encourage its use.
- Our facilities are cleaned thoroughly every night
- Workers' body temperature is measured every morning, if high, worker is sent to the local doctor for further analysis.
- Workers must keep a mandatory distance of 6 feet from each other inside our facilities
