Dinner in under 15 minutes, with nothing you’d need to explain.

One bag of pasta, one jar of sauce, one jar of herbs. Boil, warm, toss. It’s how we eat on a Tuesday.

What’s in the box

  • Organic Busiate, durum (500 g / 1.1 lb) — the traditional Sicilian corkscrew, made from ancient durum wheat grown in Sicily. Stone-ground whole grain, bronze-die cut, slow-dried. Non-enriched: no folic acid, nothing added back. Semolina and spring water, no eggs. Al dente in under 10 minutes.
  • Low Acid Cherry Tomato Sauce (333 g / 11.6 oz) — four ingredients. Cherry tomatoes ripened at the foot of Mount Etna, a pinch of sea salt, no garlic, no onion, no added sugar. Glass jar.
  • Sicilian Garden spice (22 g) — parsley, oregano, basil, garlic, a whisper of chili, sea salt. Not sold on its own — this is the jar from our dipping set.

How we make it

Boil the busiate. Warm the sauce with a spoon of Papa Vince olive oil. Toss, then finish with a pinch of Sicilian Garden over the top — that’s where the garlic comes in, since the sauce has none. Serves 4.

Why these three

The sauce is deliberately plain so the pasta’s flavor shows; the spice jar lets each person season at the table. Everything made in Sicily, in small batches.

Good to know: olive oil not included. Sending it as a present? Choose the gift box option at checkout and add your message in the cart note.

Questions we get

Is the pasta whole grain? Yes — stone-ground with the bran and germ kept in.

Does the sauce have garlic or onion? No. The Sicilian Garden jar adds garlic at the table if you want it.

How many does it serve? The bag and the jar together make about four plates.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes!! You can compare the smell to fresh-cut grass with hints of tomatoes and artichokes. Olives pick the aromas and flavors from the surrounding vegetation, so every genuine Sicilian extra virgin olive oil is unique. Papa Vince olives are peppery!! That’s why Papa Vince delivers a mild peppery kick straight to your taste buds.

No, we don't have an IOC label. But the quality of our product speaks for itself at first taste. This comes from the simplicity of our process since Papa Vince is literally the juice of the olive. We squeeze/press fresh olives right into each one of our bottles. Simple, natural, and tasty!

It is GLASS!! All Papa Vince products use glass containers and always will.

Why? Glass is cleaner than plastic. The non-porous surface of glass doesn't absorb food and germs (and smells). Glass keeps food fresh for a longer time without the need for preservatives and enhancers. Glass is also food-grade safe. So that’s a lot of good reasons to use glass containers!

Yes, perfectly normal. Papa Vince is unfiltered, which means we don’t use chemical or physical filters to standardize the look of our extra virgin olive oil. This helps us keep a higher level of antioxidants and polyphenols. And, of course, the more antioxidants and polyphenols it contains, the better the measure of health the extra virgin olive oil delivers to the body.

Papa Vince Extra Virgin Olive Oil is not filtered, it’s decanted. After harvesting, we let the oil decant for about 2 months. As a result, Papa Vince Extra Virgin Olive Oil is neither transparent nor cloudy, but just right!

At the time of harvest, the level of polyphenols Papa Vince Extra Virgin Olive Oil contains ranges from 432 mg/kg to 487 mg/kg. Please remember that polyphenols are antioxidants, which are perishable, so this value will slowly decrease with time. Storing your bottle of Papa Vince's Extra Virgin Olive Oil away from heat and light will significantly slow down this natural process.

Yes, it is good to cook with! In fact, you might notice that your food is lighter, digests more easily, and tastes even better!!
